Grace Community Bible Church Core Values:
Our Core Values reflect the distinctiveness of this organization. That is, what we "major" in, what we are known for and what we are striving to become.
I. THE BIBLE:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and inerrant in the original manuscripts. As such, it is the only source of authority for faith and life as well as our instructional book, essential for the transformation of lives and spiritual growth. (2 Tim 3:16-17; Heb 4:12; Mark 13:31; Col 3:16; 1 Pet 1:24-25; 2 Pet 1:19-21)
II. THE BODY:
We believe that our relationship with God provides the foundation for our relationship with others. (Mat 5:23-24, 18:15-18; Rom 12:3-8; John 4:23; Gal 6:1; Eph 4:11-16; Phil 2:1-4; Col 3:5-16; 1 Pet 2:9)
III. EXCELLENCE:
We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people. (Col 3:23)
IV. SPIRITUAL GROWTH:
We believe that every believer should be involved in continual spiritual growth to Christ-likeness.
V. BIBLICAL DISCIPLESHIP:
We believe in developing men and women capable of and committed to spiritual multiplication. (Matt 28:19; Mark 4:8, 20; Acts 2:46-47; 1 Cor 3:1-23; 2 Tim 2:2, 15, 3:16; Col 1:23-28, Heb 5:12-14, 6:1)
VI. EVANGELISM:
We believe we must be committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by sharing the good news of God’s grace with our neighbors, our cities, and at work. (Matt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)
VII. TRAINING:
We believe that it is essential to equip believers for the work of the ministry. (Eph 4:7, 8, 11 & 12; 1 Tim 3:13; 2 Tim 2:2)
VIII. CHRISTIAN LIBERTY:
We believe that the Bible teaches that we should not be governed by legalism. (Luke 11:17; John 1:17-18, 8:31-32; 1 Cor 1:10-12, 8:8-13, Eph 4:11-16, 29; 2 Tim 3:16-17, 4:1-5)
IX. STEWARDSHIP:
We believe the resources God has given the local Body are to be handled in a responsible manner to further God's eternal purposes. (Lev 22; Matt 10; Luke 16:10-11; 2 Cor 9:6-15; 1 Tim 5)
X. FAMILY FOCUS:
We believe the family of God should provide an environment of love, encouragement, and support regardless of stage of life or family composition. (Gen 2:21-24; 1 Cor 7:25-28; 2 Cor 6:16, Eph 4:1-6, 5:22-6:4; Heb 10:25)
