Davis, Terry and Linda
We are living in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea and ministering with New Tribes Mission and AWANA Clubs International. We are stationed near the town of Goroka. Terry is the builder for the NTM Highlands Mission Headquarters as well as helping with the building of missionary homes in the bush villages. He also operates the National AWANA Office and trains the national missionary.
We just finishes a 10 month furlough visiting our supporters and family. We had a great time visiting them all!
All four years of the Awana TruthSeekers program is done now, including all the checks by Awana. NTM in PNG are doing final checks on year four. Once back to PNG the third week of February, Linda will work on getting the translation of year four formatted. Linda will also oversee the translation projects of the various countries starting the Awana TruthSeekers program.
Many new churches are starting the Awana TruthSeekers program in remote areas, which are fly-in locations, so we continue trying to raise funds for the use of the New Tribes Mission flight services. This would allow us to reach more villages and do more follow-up with them.
This term back we are focusing on getting the couple more Awana missionaries to help our national missionary, Taitus Tauliebu. He can no longer handle all the demands on his time it takes to start the many churches wanting to be trained. We also want to train him to take on the duties required to run the National Awana Office in the future.
