Dick and Lou are linguist-translators serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Dick is a Translation Consultant for Wycliffe and Lou is a Linguistic Consultant. They have served with Wycliffe for 45 years. Most of this time has been spent in the Philippines. In 1980 they had the joy of seeing the Antipolo Ifugao New Testament published. And in 1991 they, along with trained Tuwali speakers, were able to complete the Tuwali Ifugao New Testament.

They’ve conducted workshops in S. E. Asia training both nationals and expatriates in the science of linguistics and translation and have served in various administrative roles with SIL, Wycliffe’s sister organization.

At the present time, their main responsibility is overseeing the translation of the Old Testament into the Antipolo Ifugao language and the distribution of the Tuwali Ifugao Bible. Each summer they return to the Philippines to expedite these two projects and work alongside the national translators in these two languages.
