To Better Understand Christian Doctrine

A Christian is defined by what he believes more than by what he does, because no one gains salvation by what they do, but only by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and His work. The purpose of this study is to walk through the Doctrinal Statement of GCBC (and more complete traditional Christian doctrine) to help us understand how these concepts are supported by Scripture.

The study combines class notes and presentation with interactive discussion about each of the statements. Each week we discuss one area of of our beliefs, although some areas may take two or three weeks to cover, depending upon the questions and discussion.

The study occurs on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the GCBC Sanctuary, and is repeated at 6:30 Sunday evening when people express interest in coming that night. The evening study often gets more detailed discussion, as it permits more time.
